(SEPTEMBER 2007) CHARITY FISHING EVENT HELD AT FEILDS FARM FISHERIES

The teams all gather for the draw, on what turned out to be a glorious day.

( MAY 2007 ) THE JUNIOR FISHING EVENT ( raised £400. well done!!) The event was run by Louis Morris ( chair person ) and Dave Noble (secretary) of the Dallam and District Community Angling Group. As the match prevailed with the 34 entries, the children had a task in front of them as the weather changed to horrendous conditions but they all braved it out and fished untill the end. (Here are some of the contestants who took part) The fund raising childrens match in the junior section was won by 14 year old Jack Impey with 2lb 8oz. 2nd place.. 15yrs.old John Andrews 1lb.13oz. 3rd place .. 15yrs. old James Laithwaite with 1lb. 7oz. In the intermediate section ( 16- 21 yrs ) 1st. place went to Arron Brown(16) with 1lb 10oz. 2nd plce Rick Chung(17) with 8oz 2 drams. 3rd place was Jamie Hurst(17) with a resolute 2oz... not everybody was fortunate enough to be on fish,and this third place was hard fought for.. All the children who took part received a prize.
So, A big thankyou to all our sponsors who donated gifts, and also Helen Dagnall and her mum Dot at the Cheshire Angling shop, and -- The Stronger Together Group, also from Warrington. ----------------------------------------- The junior winner of the charity fishing event. Jack Impey. who also had the biggest winning weight.

(SEPTEMBER 2006) The annual fishing competition proved to be the biggest open match competition on the Bridgewater Canal for more than 15 years. A big thankyou to Warrington Angling Association for waiving the peg fees in aid of the charity!!

(AUGUST 2005) Paul Jones. winner 2005. Bron Eifion A.C. sponsored by Bron Eifion. Paul won the match with a brilliant display of pellet fishing, of which he is, on Brookside fisheries, the undisputed king and master. in this match he even pushed the mighty Stuart Conroy into second place. a superb angler of the modern commercial fisheries.

Neil Rogerson. winner 2003. church gardens A.C. The inaugural fishing match of the Shannon Bradshaw memorial trophy. was won by Niel. on the mallard lake at Brookside fiheries. Stretton. with a splended display of chopped worm fishing, of which Neil is a master.
